Waterhen Bloa

Hook Standard Dry or Wet hook #12-18 (Here I have used a Daiichi 1530 #12)
Silk primrose (a very pale yellow. I use Pearsall's Gossamer thread #3)
Hackle waterhen marginal covert (Substitute a dark, smokey grey feather from the underside of the front edge of a (natural or dyed) starling's wing)
Dubbing mole. (Substitute a dark grey, extremely soft, fine, short-fibered dubbing.)
This is one of the most popular North Country Flies and is meant to represent a Dark Olive (Baetis and similar species.)
